Speaking of Rangers, I have been informed that if there are enough interested people, we may be able to have a trainer come out and hold an official session to prepare current and future Rangers for the playa.

Training neither obligates you to becoming a Ranger nor guarantees that you will pass the rigorous mentoring process. It is simply a first step toward an awesome volunteering opportunity.
