Went to the DPW work weekend, but just couldn't get enough? Or you couldn't make it, and don't know what to do with yourself this weekend? Feeling distressed by all the photons hitting the ground that could be turning into electricity? I've got just the thing...
The Black Rock Solar Department of Cheap Labor and Useful Endeavors presents:
Black Rock Solar Work Weekend #1
Where: The Natchez School in Wadsworth, #1 Highway 447, right there before Pyramid St. You can't miss it. Mostly because there's a big solar installation going in right next to the road.
Or if you really think you can't find it: tiny.cc/625R0
When: 4/26 - 4/27, 8 am - 5 pm
What to bring: work gloves, shoes that are not sandals, cloths for cold weather, cloths for warm weather, cloths for something in between
Where to sleep: Radical Self Reliance at it's finest. There is limited space at our crew's housing, Haggey's Burner Hostel has room for 10-15 people, and hopefully some of your Reno locals and people on the Reno Regional list can provide some couch or floor space. If you're really feeling tough you can bring a tent or RV and camp out, either on site if there is room or at the nearby campground.
Food: I reckon we might be able to rustle up some grub for y'all, but I'm still workin' out the details on that one. When we figure out how many are coming, we'll figure out what we're eating. If you have some kind of dietary restriction, speak now or forever go into anaphylactic shock.
Contacts: Let me know if you're going to make it. Let me know if you are in Reno and want to have a volunteer or two sleep on your couch/floor/dryer/back porch. I will do my best to connect the appropriate parties. On site, you'll be looking for Richard Scott. You can't miss him, he'll be the one telling you what to do. If you have any problems, you can reach me at 917-604-0628. If you're set on staying at Haggey's, tell me anyway. I don't want to send 10 people his way when 15 are already there.
Thanks,
-Raymundo Hernandez Pino Suarez Francisco Zapata Cervantes Posado, el segundo
